Christleton v Davenham

~~De Silva winning the toss with his lucky 2p coin invited the visitors to bat first.
Davenham didn’t get off to the best of starts losing 2 early wickets to Johnson (2-28) with only 9 runs on the board.

Davenham captain Greaves (26) joined Fleming (31) at the crease and put on a 55 run partnership before Greaves was well caught on the long off boundary by Astbury off the bowling of Naseer (43-3).

Davenham had added only another 11 runs for the loss of 3 more wickets when Price (34) and Hornby (27) moved the score to 133. Price was then run out going for a second run out, a great throw from the boundary by Paterson.

After the loss of Price the rest soon followed adding only a further 11 runs. Parkinson ending with figures of 47-3.

Paterson (17) and Naseer (89) got Christleton off to a good start putting on 55 for the first wicket. Gough (26-2) brought back into the game with the wickets of Marks (0) and Walters (6).  Gough later left the field after being hit on the wrist and Christleton offered the services of a sub fielder (Marks).
